Ridiculously secure. Our most powerful safety measure is an encryption algorithm that's run on all your vaulted data. The encryption key is known only by the management staff at the client company ensuring that no one else can access the data. Not even Circadian Force employees or technicians can decrypt the data, so the user must keep their key safe, or their data will be unreadable.
We use the AES encryption algorithm as it is the US government standard. Analysis of the security shows that it would take one hundred-fifty trillion years to compromise the data without the proper key (to put that in perspective, the universe is approximately 20 billion years old).
We also use SSL encryption when moving the data, store all the files in an encrypted format, and have environmental protections to prevent hyperjumping. We can restrict file access by IP address, enforce the use of an audit trail, and can establish policies that only allow the release of data after written approval is granted (your discretion).
How it works - Your critical information is sent to a secure cloud where it is stored on fully clustered and redundant sets of servers. Prior to being sent across the network, however, all the files are compressed and encrypted at the file level. Following encryption, the compressed file is then sent to the cloud over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Your company may restore files from the cloud at any time with the correct username, password, IP address, and decryption key. The files stored in the cloud will be completely encrypted and undecipherable.
Absolutely. You can do this through a web browser (with the proper permissions and protocols) or through Circadian Force's e-vaulting product. This makes it extremely easy to restore individual files, massive files/databases, virtual machines, or an entire physical server.
Yes. Our technology integrates nicely with existing infrastructure, especially systems that already capture "bare metal" images or drive images. We even have the ability to kick off backup jobs locally through Circadian's software or start Circadian's e-vaulting process only after a bare metal image is complete.
